Due to a leave of absence in the office, the board is working to hire temporary staff to cover the position on a full-time basis until the employee returns. The individual should possess basic office skills, at least some experience in accounts receivable/payable, customer service, answering phones, and the use of Quickbooks and billing software. If you, or someone you know possess skills in this area and are interested, please contact us by email at LAwater.AmberandLinda@gmail.com for details!
Some members have noticed bags that are covering the “fire hydrants” around the area and have expressed concerns. What appear to be fire hydrants are actually valves used for servicing the systems by the cooperative’s employees and were never intended for fire suppression. The use of these hydrant type valves by the fire service could actually cause catastrophic damage to the system. Over the next two years, these “hydrants” will be removed or replaced with a different type valve in order to prevent an inadvertent use for fire suppression. Please see the letter from the Co-Op’s field manager, Kris Conway, for further information.
Planned Controlled Burn
Larry Klimek from the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge Complex, asked that we pass along the following information :
"A controlled burn is being planned at Wapato Lake National Wildlife Refuge this Spring. The purpose is to remove vegetation from the dike system around the lake to assist with restoration activities and dike inspections. The controlled burn will only occur if the proper weather and site conditions exist for a safe burn and appropriate smoke dispersal. If you have questions you can call the Tualatin River NWR at 503-625-5944 or email at: email@example.com"
We will make an effort to post additional information about the burn as it becomes available to us!
