First, thank you to the many members who have already completed or are in the process of installing backflow protection devices. Your willingness to take action to help protect our community water system is greatly appreciated.

We have also received significant feedback from members regarding installation costs, property-specific challenges, contractor availability, and implementation timelines. Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns and suggestions. We hear you!

Our Commitment to Safety Protecting the safety, quality, and integrity of our drinking water remains our highest responsibility. Backflow prevention devices are vital tools to safeguard our community’s water supply from contamination.

Current Program Updates:

• No Current Deadline: No compliance deadline has been established at this time.

• Timeline Extended: The Board has paused the immediate rollout to extend the implementation timeline.
•  Not Canceled but Refined: This safety program will move forward in the future. We are using this extra time to evaluate options and ensure the rollout is practical, fair, and respectful of our members’ circumstances.

How You Can Prepare:

• Get Informed: Use this extended window to learn about the requirements and plan ahead.
• Proactive Installation: If you are able, we encourage you to complete your installation proactively.
